FAQs

What is CrossFit?

CrossFit consists of constantly varied, functional movements, performed at high intensity.  In other words, CrossFit is a fitness program that uses movements your body was made to do, performed hard and fast, that gets results.  Anyone can follow CrossFit programming; the key to CrossFit as a novice is the guidance of a trainer who understands your needs and goals, and a community who will support and motivate you.

What does CrossFit do?

CrossFit strives to improve your general physical fitness by delivering a program that is broad, general, and inclusive.  CrossFit can substantially improve your quality of life and ability to fully engage in any of life’s activities, from running the Turkey Trot, to playing with your children or grandchildren, to catching yourself in a fall.

I am out of shape/old/injured; can I do CrossFit?

Yes.  CrossFit is designed to be modified and scaled to accommodate any age, injury, and fitness level.  The key to effective modification is working with trainers who have true expertise and experience in this area.  This is one of the many components that distinguishes Always Forward CrossFit.

Why Always Forward CrossFit?

Always Forward CrossFit has the most experienced trainers in Licking County, led by Craig McDonald and Dennis Kaps, both Granville residents.  The AFC trainers understand proper movement and technique, effective scaling of workouts, and the value in celebrating small successes.  The AFC community is also unmatched.  AFC has built a network of members who embrace a positive, non-judgmental, and family-like atmosphere that is motivating and keeps you coming back!
