About Masters CrossFit
We have an affinity for Masters. We are masters ourselves, and Craig’s first clients were his baby boomer parents, Dick and Paula McDonald. Training with the CrossFit method has not only improved the health and well being of our parents and other masters athletes, it has given them a level of fitness that far surpasses their peers. They have been able to improve their balance, flexibility, coordination, strength, and energy while reducing daily medications. Our masters athletes have found the fitness they have gained by training with our program allows them to enjoy a much improved quality of life!
What is the Masters Program?
The great thing about CrossFit is that anyone can participate! You don’t need to be in shape to begin, our program will get you into shape! Our program is designed for persons 55 years of age and older. The Masters program differs from our regular CrossFit programming by placing a larger focus on balance, flexibility, endurance, and core strength. The Masters program is challenging, yet geared to a tolerable level and intensity for baby boomers and seniors that produces results. Masters Program Coach, Traci Palmer, CrossFit Level 2 Trainer (CF-L2) has over six years of coaching experience with an extensive knowledge of scaling options that allows her to design a personalized workout for each participant. Each participant will receive individual attention and coaching in a fun group setting. We utilize functional movements to help you achieve a level of fitness that will allow you to maintain physical independence and participate in activities that you enjoy, whether that be maintaining your own garden, keeping up with the grandkids, or trying new sports!
